About this property

As the name suggests, the cottage was originally alongside the forge in the delightful village of Hurst and is a home full of character and charm. Forge Cottage retains many of the original features whilst embracing the modern comforts that we can't live without these days.

Brace and ledge doors, beams, fireplaces, strip wood flooring and a fabulous country kitchen with walk in pantry provide the ambience of a historical cottage whilst spacious room sizes, modern central heating, double glazing, ultrafast broadband (subject to a contract with Gigaclear) and luxurious bathrooms and en-suite ensure extremely comfortable living.

The frontage of Forge Cottage provides a large, shingled parking area for several vehicles, providing privacy to the front a mature hedge with brick retaining wall marks the boundary.
There is also side access to the rear gardens.

A 3 bay car port to the side of the cottage in the position of the original forge is currently configured to provide two parking bays and a secure storage bay, there is light and power as well as an electric vehicle charging facility.

The sunny rear gardens are laid mainly to lawn with an outlook over fields with privacy being provided by mature hedges to the boundary. Landscaped to provide various multilevel seating areas, raised flower and shrub beds as well as outside power and lighting.
